The Beginning

Like most horror movies this all starts with a girl.
 
At a very young age I have always been obsessed with being scared. I would do things like not turn on lights in the house when I would go to get water in the middle of the night because I liked how it felt to be scared walking around in a dark quiet house. Some people would call that weird or crazy but I suspect if you are reading this blog you just might be one of the few who understands. Fear has somehow always fed this part of my body that seeks adventure, this part of my body that is always hungry. Some like the adrenaline of sports or dangerous hobbies or even the drama in relationships I however crave the adrenaline brought on by fear of the unknown and the supernatural. Now I am somewhat a nerd and a fan of science and logic but I also have a very open mind. These movies which are crazy and over the top that people call dumb cause it would never happen or because of how cheesy they are, these are the movie I have a special appreciation for. I have a respect for the low budget horror film. I’ll tell you right now that I am not a cynical person and I tend to like a lot of things. I appreciate the effort put into these movies by the writers and directors talent for bringing to life their crazy imaginations to life on screen. Something that is not easy to do.

When I hit my mid-twenties I really started to think about what it was I wanted to do in life. What is my “dream Job”? I came up with many blanks because I wasn’t thinking outside the box. I decided to just take something I love doing and make that it so I could as they say “never work a day in my life”. This plan is just a theory so I will be keeping my day job but this site is the first step. My favorite thing to do is watch horror movies and talk about them, every symbolic detail. I want to break them down and talk about how they fit into the horror movie formula or in some cases how the deviate from it. So that’s what this is a place for me to discuss everything that is horror.
